About RoomMate Cabins Manawatu
RoomMate Cabins are the largest cabin supplier in New Zealand and pride ourselves on our first-class service and professionalism.
Our yard is based in Palmerston North and from here we service from Taihape in the North down to Foxton in the South, over to Norsewood and then down to Eketahuna. Our Driver and Operations Manager, Glenn, provides the on-the-ground support to Steve who manages the admin side of the business.

Very happy with cabin. Solid and well made. Great helpful guy who delivered it. Steve also very helpful to start process off. Delivery chap got it where we wanted it, got power sorted and got it in a reasonably tight gate. Great to deal with!
These guys are amazing to deal with! They are able to get their units into some really tight spaces where others are not able to. They are also willing to negotiate individual circumstances which fitted within our specific situation which was amazing and we are very thankful. I can't thank Steve and Glen enough and how much our family appreciated how they dealt with our situation, they are friendly and easy going and I would gladly recommend them to anyone else who is looking at hiring one of their cabins.
Steve and his team are amazing! We all know the housing market is crazy at the moment - but thanks to them, my 3 children and I were still able to have a roof over our heads after we had been kicked out of so many rentals that were sold on us. The cabins are really cool too - love the timber look on the inside and heaps of room. I needed 2 cabins but that wasn't a problem for Steve and his Team either. Highly recommend RoomMate Cabins to everyone!

Get to know us
Owners Steve and Lisa Rodgers have owned the Manawatu franchise since September 2019 and the Wairarapa franchise since March 2022. Steve manages all customer enquiries, leasing and administration for the business from their base in Wellington.
Steve and Lisa have great connections to the Region having both spent their early years in Manawatu, Steve at Massey, and Lisa in Marton.
Our driver/operations manager/right-hand man, Glenn Baines, runs the yard from Feilding. Glenn schedules and completes all the pickups, deliveries, cleans, repairs and maintenance, and is our friendly customer face on the ground.

RoomMate Cabins Manawatu Limited is a proud sponsor of the Philips Search and Rescue Trust and as well as being a sponsor, we provide a cabin at their Rescue Helicopter base at Palmerston North Hospital for pilots to rest in between jobs.
In addition, we supply cabins to the NZ Rural Games as well as Central Districts Field Days.
