Daytime: Keep your curtains and blinds wide open during the day to let the natural solar gain warm up the interior of your portable cabins.

2. Choose the Right Heat Source

Oil Column Heaters: These are fantastic for consistent, silent warmth. Set the thermostat to a comfortable level (around 18-20°C) so it clicks off once the room is warm.
Fan Heaters: Great for a quick “boost” of heat when you first step inside, but try not to rely on them all day as they can be heavier on power.

3. Manage Moisture and Airflow

A dry cabin is a warm cabin! Moist air takes much more energy to heat than dry air.

Avoid Drying Laundry Inside: We know it’s tempting when it’s raining outside, but drying wet clothes inside your cabin releases moisture that leads to condensation and cold dampness.
Use a Dehumidifier: If you notice windows fogging up, a small dehumidifier is a game-changer. It pulls moisture from the air, making your heater’s job much easier.
The “Gap” Rule: Try to leave a small gap between your furniture and the walls. This allows air to circulate and prevents cold spots or dampness from forming behind large items.
